Resolution Impala Saracens crowned plate cup winners after seeing off Nondies 17-15 in the plate cup final.
Immediately after kick off, Nondies started off with a penalty conversion from Saidi Sumba who slotted in the fist point of the game to go top with a 3-0 lead. After a few minutes into the game, Nondies Captain Sinei made a powerful run to the try box only for the try to be disallowed by the referee. Nondies intensify their wrath by camping at Resolution Impala Saracen’s 22 yard for the better part of the game. A few minutes later, Rangers intensify their momentum and they rewarded with a try by Steven Ochieng to extend their lead to 10-0 at the interval.
After the break , Gazelles came out guns blazing and immediately they bore fruits by a try from Shem Agungo in the 45th of the game to cut down the gap o 10-5. Almost immediately, George Okowa goes over the try box after speeding off with the ball leaving his markers for dead Xavier Kipngetich with the extras to make it 12-10 to Resolution Impala Saracens.
After picking a good pass from Xavier, Okowa takes the ball to the back line defense and he chips over the defense line to claim a brace of tries. Nondies reply a few minutes later with a try after Ernest Ngong went over the try box after a pick and go. Later on Mullar scores the wining try to seal Resolution Impala Saracens victory with a 17-15 score.
